Characters
While I have the raw, untrained ability to roughly design a character myself. I don't have the ab to draw a good enough character, which I could sell or manufacture. I work with talented paid freelancers to provide my creative vision. Likewise, I still have plenty of creative input into the designs. Here are some of my favourites, just don't tell the others.
Final design by Daisy
Once the pose was chosen, we moved on to colour scheme.
Ninja
Back in 2015, I worked with Daisy Spiers to create a range of characters, this was just one of them. One of the baddies at the time. I gave rough ideas, using reference pictures of what I wanted. We worked together to produce Ninja.
First draft and character pose choice. Drawn by Daisy.
Naughty Overlord
Originally, this character was a mascot for a company I set up. I wrote a whole backstory to her and worked with my talented friend Dean Wheeler. We worked ideas out and build this digital character.
The stockist business itself wasn't affordable long term. That was down to a couple of things, heavy competition and limited stock options to bring in new business. Anyway, when the business was closed, I wanted to maintain the character, and placed her in my first game.
I worked with Daisy to produce a slightly different style to match the other for the game.
First version of Naughty Overlord
Opher the Dwarf
Pub Landlord of the "Ye Olde Tripp Down the Stairs"
Opher is a fun character and soon to be miniature with Pandyman Entertainment. I created Opher for a game, which has been announced but still to be released. The goblin, under Opher's Hammer is Zag (the head chef of the "Ye Olde Tripp Down the Stairs").
I drew a very rough drawing of what I would like as a miniature. I asked Dean to draw him and paid Dean for his time. Not only that, but I sent the drawing to ilhadiel and created a 3D Printable sculpt based on mine and Dean's design.
The miniature is self-supported so Opher is hovering off the base.
